Adviser & Alumnae Training Academy

September 12, 26, 27, or October 3, 2020  •  Virtual

Registration is now open for Adviser & Alumnae Training Academy (ATA)! This training is required for all advisers and alumnae officers in the first year of their roles. Those expected to attend received an email in early August from dgevents@deltagamma.org containing all registration information.

Out of an abundance of caution and care for the health of our sisters, Delta Gamma has decided to transition our 2020 ATA series to a virtual format, with all training via Zoom. Although we are saddened that we cannot gather in person, we are excited to see you virtually this fall. This training will equip you with the knowledge, resources and best practices to successfully support your chapter or alumnae group. Advisers that have attended in the past have found they are better equipped to follow through on their roles and make an impact.

Past ATA attendees have shared the following feedback:

“Everything presented at ATA was useful for me as a new volunteer for Delta Gamma!”

“Our group had such great conversations and anecdotes. It was such a great opportunity to feel supported.”

“The information presented at ATA was helpful, beneficial and definitely worth my time!”

House Corporation Summit

September 18-20, 2020 and October 16-18, 2020  •  Virtual

Out of an abundance of caution and care for the health of our sisters, Delta Gamma has transitioned the 2020 House Corporation Summit (HCS) to a virtual format, with all training held via Zoom. The 2020 HCS will be hosted twice this fall – during the originally communicated dates of September 18-20 and again from October 16-18. The times listed below, in Eastern Daylight Time, will apply for both weekends:

Option #1

  • Friday, September 18 from 7 – 8:45 p.m. EDT
  • Saturday, September 19 from 12 – 7 p.m. EDT
  • Sunday, September 20 from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. EDT

Option #2

  • Friday, October 16 from 7 – 8:45 p.m. EDT
  • Saturday, October 17 from 12 – 7 p.m. EDT
  • Sunday, October 18 from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. EDT

We are hopeful this will allow as many invited house corporation officers as possible the ability to attend one of two weekends – to ensure they can still receive this excellent training aimed to help them feel more confident in their role. In addition, we will discuss updates on COVID-19 precautions and hear from a keynote speaker and expert about diversity opportunities in higher education and the sorority experience. The content presented will be the same during both weekends.

House Corporation Summit is required for certain house corporation officers who are in the first year of their term. The House Corporation Summit Attendance Grid provides further details on when an officer is required to attend. Invited attendees received Save-the-Date emails in late July and early August from dgevents@deltagamma.org. Registration will open in mid-August.

Here’s what fellow sisters and house corporation officers said about the 2019 House Corporation Summit:

“Honestly, this was the best Delta Gamma training event I’ve ever attended.”

“I enjoyed connecting with other women across North America, sharing insights, networking and feeling connected despite distance.”
