October is National ADHD Awareness Month, and this fall we’re turning our attention to attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder itself: how it shows up, how it’s often misunderstood and what real support looks like. ADHD affects focus, impulse control and executive functioning in ways that touch work, relationships and daily routines, and it doesn’t look the same from person to person. Our content this month will cover recognizing common signs, understanding the science behind the diagnosis and exploring practical strategies for managing symptoms at home and on the job. The aim is simple: replace misconceptions with clarity, so people living with ADHD feel understood rather than judged, and those around them know how to help. October marks Bullying Prevention Month, and with World Mental Health Day falling on October 10, the timing offers a meaningful opportunity to spotlight peer pressure and bullying and their lasting effects on emotional wellbeing. These experiences can shape how young people and adults alike see themselves, form relationships and navigate social situations, often leaving effects that persist well beyond the moment. This month, we’ll explore what peer pressure and bullying look like across different settings, the warning signs to watch for and constructive ways to respond and offer support. By building awareness and equipping people with practical tools, we hope to foster safer, more respectful environments where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging. October is recognized as National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, and this year we’re using the observance to shine a light on postpartum depression in particular. New parents often expect the arrival of a child to bring nothing but joy, so when persistent sadness, anxiety or exhaustion set in instead, many feel confused, ashamed or reluctant to speak up. Postpartum depression is far more common than many realize, and it can affect anyone who has recently given birth, adopted or taken on a new parenting role, regardless of how “prepared” they felt going in. This month, we’ll cover how to recognize the signs of postpartum depression, how it differs from the more familiar “baby blues” and where new parents and their support systems can turn for help.
