Belonging

Belonging is the way we live our values—together.

Belonging in Delta Gamma is not defined by a single role, program or moment. It is reflected in:

  • How we welcome new members
  • How we lead within our chapters
  • How we hold one another accountable
  • How we carry our values beyond college and into our lives

Belonging is not something we say.
It is something we live.

Our Commitment

We are committed to continuing to grow, learn and lead together.

Because when every member feels a sense of belonging, we strengthen not only our sisterhood but also our ability to do good in the world.

Our Founders: The Promise of Friendship

Delta Gamma was founded on the belief that friendship matters. We go beyond surface-level connections and build real, enduring and meaningful relationships.

When we commit to our sisterhood, we promise:

  • To value one another deeply
  • To listen with intention
  • To honor the identities and lived experiences of every member

Belonging begins here.

Our Responsibility: Empathy in Action

Belonging takes more than good intentions – we are called to act; to ensure that every member feels seen, respected and supported.

This means:

  • Choosing empathy over assumption
  • Staying present in difficult moments
  • Taking responsibility for our impact

Belonging is not passive.

It is practiced.

Our Expectation: A Champion and a Friend

In Delta Gamma, we are more than members. We are champions for one another.

This is the standard:

  • We advocate for each other
  • We create space for every voice
  • We build a sisterhood where all members can fully be themselves

This is how belonging is experienced, not as an idea, but as a relationship.

Remember:

Belonging is not something we add to Delta Gamma.
It is what makes Delta Gamma, Delta Gamma.

And when we live it well, our members don’t just join, they belong.
