Hannah in the Hot Seat: Interview Workshop

In January, the Delta Gamma Fraternity Council met at Executive Offices in Columbus, Ohio, with the Delta Gamma Foundation Board of Trustees, fulfilling a long-time goal to host a joint meeting with extended time to collaborate and connect.
Our time together began with a buckeye-making workshop led by The Buckeye Lady. As we rolled peanut butter balls and dipped them in chocolate, we heard the inspiring story of how this Panhellenic woman-owned business was founded during the COVID lockdown.
Following this fun (and delicious) kickoff, we spent a full day working together, beginning with a presentation on data from an extensive alumnae survey performed by Cygnus Research. Thousands of Delta Gamma alumnae participated last summer – thank you if you were one of them! The findings highlighted where our sisterhood is thriving, as well as opportunities to strengthen how we serve and support our members. Fraternity and Foundation Leadership look forward to continued collaboration to turn these insights into action.
We also received a presentation on the ethical use of artificial intelligence from Jen Manly, Delta Iota-Georgia, which sparked thoughtful and lively discussion around the table about potential guidelines and how to share what we learned more broadly across the organization.
The highlight of the meeting was a visit from Fraternity and Foundation Directors, who were also in Columbus for the Winter Directors Meeting. With so much Fraternity business done virtually, it is precious to have time together in person.
The following day, the Foundation Board of Trustees departed, and Fraternity Council met to address a full agenda, including Convention preparation, an initiative to refresh the New Member Pursuit, a staff quarterly report and plans for communicating progress updates on our Strategic Framework. We also received the annual auditor’s report and are pleased to share that we received a clean opinion.
Council’s next in-person meeting will be in April at Executive Offices in Columbus, Ohio, followed by our June meeting at Convention 2026 in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Registration for Convention opens in early February, and we hope to see you there!
As always, we remain committed to helping build a Delta Gamma where belonging is universal, change is embraced and our bonds grow stronger every day. If you have questions or would like to connect, reach out to us at FraternityCouncil@deltagamma.org or join us for an upcoming Office Hours session.
