Gamma Upsilon-Wichita State will welcome Seth Dewey, Program Director for Mirror Inc. The Lectureship will be held at the Wichita State University W. Frank Barton School of Business, Woolsey Hall – Boettger Auditorium 110B.
About the speaker:
Seth Dewey is a Program Director for Mirror Inc., a Kansas-based behavioral health organization focused on recovery, harm reduction, and community well-being. His work is grounded in public health and shaped by lived experience, positioning him at the intersection of systems leadership, policy, and community-based change.
Seth has collaborated with national partners as a consultant for organizations such as the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, the United States Department of Justice, the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Opioid Response Network. His work spans program development, harm reduction, leadership integration, and policy reform and implementation designed to strengthen behavioral health systems and improve population-level outcomes.
He has also led and advised on opioid abatement and settlement strategies at the national level, with a focus on ensuring funds are deployed responsibly, equitably, and in alignment with evidence-based prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery initiatives.
In addition to his public health work, Seth has participated in multiple political campaigns and provides political analysis informed by his experience navigating policy, governance, and systems accountability. This background strengthens his approach to advocacy and reinforces his belief that durable public health solutions require both moral clarity and strategic engagement.
