Anchoring the Future Campaign
impact report
Ensuring Delta Gamma is an
unstoppable force for good.

Greetings, sisters and friends!
What an extraordinary year this has been!
Our Delta Gamma Foundation Annual
Impact Report for 2023-24 is unlike any
other, as we take this opportunity to
celebrate not only the past 12 months, but
also the remarkable six-year journey of
Anchoring the Future: The Campaign for
Delta Gamma. As you turn the pages of this
Impact Report, you won’t just encounter
impressive statistics, you’ll also hear the
powerful voices of those whose lives have
been directly touched by your generosity. At
its core, this Campaign wasn’t just about the
numbers, it was about doing good.
And if we had to sum the Campaign up in
three words, they would be: YOU DID IT! You
came together as a collective sisterhood and
raised over $58,000,000! Our record-
breaking Campaign shows just how
unstoppable women are when they are
united by a common goal for good. By
investing in the Delta Gamma Foundation,
you’ve made a lasting impact on our
members’ academic pursuits, leadership
opportunities, philanthropic work and so
much more.
In the following report, you’ll also hear from
Shaun Young and Laurie Kight, our
dedicated Campaign Co-Chairs. We hope
you’re as inspired as we are by their — and
the Campaign Cabinet’s
— years of volunteer
service to ensure this
Campaign’s resounding
success. We extend our
deepest gratitude to all
volunteers, donors and
supporters. Anchoring
the Future would not
have been possible
without you.

Ensuring the
Future of our
sisterhood
Delta Gamma’s first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign was
envisioned as a celebration of our history and an ambitious dream for
the future. A campaign that at its conclusion would secure Delta
Gamma for generations to come. And thanks to you and your
support, Anchoring the Future has been a remarkable story of
generosity and growth. More academic awards, greater endowed
funds, larger grants to the Fraternity, more planned gifts of enduring
legacy, and more unrestricted funds to meet our most pressing
needs. This Campaign is a testament to our collective impact, and
will enrich the lives of our alumnae and collegiate members, allowing
our sisterhood to do even more in the pursuit of doing good.

Anchoring the Future Campaign Cabinet
When we were asked to lead Anchoring the Future
six years ago, with a goal of raising $50 million to
help secure Delta Gamma’s mission for the next
generation, we hoped and believed that Delta
Gammas would respond with heartfelt enthusiasm
for investing in our mission to do good. And
respond you did – in the biggest of ways, with
sisters and friends giving more than $58 million to
support Training and Programming, Individual
Member Support, our service and philanthropic
commitments, and capital plans to enhance our
facilities.
We remain in awe of the open hearts and
generosity of our sisters and supporters, who are
anchored to the positive impact Delta Gamma
makes in our world, believing – as we do – that the
pursuit of doing good is never done. We thank
everyone who contributed to the Campaign. Your
gifts will strengthen our sisterhood in both tangible
and immeasurable ways for decades to come.
The unforgettable moments of celebrating 150
years of sisterhood have flown by. Our
Sesquicentennial Biennium concluded in June, and
now it’s time to take up our anchor and chart the
course for Delta Gamma’s next chapter. It will surely
be exciting – more scholarships and fellowships,
more grants to help our sisters in need, more
advocacy for Service for Sight, more leadership
development and training for our members, and
incredible enhancements to our headquarters in
Columbus, Ohio. Breaking ground this fall, our
Capital Initiatives include creating a Leadership
Training Center, a new Delta Gamma Archives
Museum, and a complete renovation of Executive
Offices and the Martin Center. These improvements
will benefit all Delta Gammas, and we can’t wait for
you to see them!
Beyond the financial investment in Delta Gamma
that the Campaign brought, our greatest joy has
been connecting with sisters and hearing about the
many ways in which Delta Gamma has enriched
their lives at every stage. The conversations, cards
and letters, personal visits and countless hugs we
enjoyed throughout the Campaign will stay with us,
reminding us that our bonds of friendship are
precious and should be cherished.
It has been the privilege of a lifetime to be stewards
of Anchoring the Future, and with full hearts, we
join you in sailing on to Delta Gamma’s shining
future.

Dawson Institute, an alumnae leadership development program designed to
span generations, was held for the first time this past spring in Columbus, OH
with 50 participants and 12 volunteer facilitators.
Named for Foundation donor and program sponsor Julie
Whitney Dawson, Gamma Iota-DePauw, Dawson Institute
was born out of the Anchoring the Future Campaign’s
Training and Programming Pillar, to expand offerings
through all stages of membership. Julie believes that
women possess a unique potential to become strong and
effective leaders, and this is reflected in the weekend-long
event’s curriculum.
The program began with participants exploring their own
selves and strengths and culminated with identifying
opportunities to infuse leadership skills into achieving
personal and professional goals. One participant said of her
experience, “I learned about my strengths but more
importantly I learned about myself through meeting and
interacting with my sisters from all backgrounds through a
well-curated set of activities.”
Applications for the Spring 2025 Dawson Institute will open
later this year. Details at the event can be found at
deltagamma.org/events.
Dawson Institute participants found lasting value in this
development opportunity. Watch the short video below of
sisters sharing their experiences.
Helping members flourish
as their authentic selves
Investing in member success is a key
priority within Delta Gamma’s Culture of
Care. The Campaign’s Training and
Programming Pillar is supporting values-
based education empowering members to
advocate for themselves and their sisters.
The Foundation supports a range of Fraternity programs for
collegians and alumnae in the areas of Social Responsibility,
Health and Well-Being, and Leadership Development through
an educational grant to the Fraternity.
Participants in these programs consistently share that learning
and growth are most effectively achieved in familiar and
supportive environments, where they feel valued and
connected with their sisters. By fostering such environments,
we create opportunities for members to thrive both personally
and collectively, reinforcing the strength and unity of our
sisterhood.
One program participant shared, “It was comforting to see all of
the resources that we have at our disposal as members of Delta
Gamma. Learning how to approach someone with empathy has
really set me up for future success when talking with my sisters
about their health and well-being.”
These Fraternity programs are crucial for helping our members
learn, grow, thrive and make a positive impact on their campus
communities and beyond.

“I am a proud first-generation college
graduate, born to teen parents in
Modesto, CA, now breaking cycles and
carrying my family’s legacy with me. I was
a founding member of Theta Alpha
chapter and have received university
recognition as one of the 30 Most

Leadership in Action for the diversity,
equity and inclusion efforts I led in my
chapter.
Receiving a graduate fellowship from the
Foundation changes my life in small and
big ways. I am a second-year
communication studies graduate student
at San Diego State University where I
teach and work as a graduate assistant.
Because of this award, I can truly live out
my graduate student experiences, rather
than having to miss opportunities that
enrich my learning. Receiving the
graduate fellowship allows me to fully
focus on my classes and prioritize my
education, extracurriculars to enrich my
education, and volunteering.
I am grateful to donors who invest in our
alumnae’s educational and cultural
interests because it reflects our values. It’s
important to have our alumnae members
seen as whole people with dreams and
goals as they continue representing and
supporting DG throughout their lives, and
living our Article II values inside and
outside the classroom.”

Enhancing our facilities to
empower all sisters to stay
connected for good
Supporting members at every life stage, the Anchoring the
Future's Capital Initiatives Pillar continues our long-standing
history of professionalism, outreach and service to our members.
The creation of a Leadership Training Center
(LTC), Archives Museum, and renovated
Martin Center and business side of Executive
Offices, all housed within our current
headquarters building at 3250 Riverside Drive
in Columbus, OH is the next step in ensuring
the future of Delta Gamma.
The LTC will provide opportunities for our
volunteers to stay engaged and well-
trained. The Archives Museum will allow
more of Delta Gamma’s treasured history to
be displayed and experienced by members
and visitors alike.
Designed with the evolving needs of our
members and professional staff in mind,
these new spaces will be equipped with
flexible and adaptable work stations and
technology.
There’s still time to support the Leadership Training Center, Archives Museum and
Martin Center through the Foundation. In addition, the Fraternity has opportunities
within the EO renovation. To learn more, visit deltagamma.org/eo-renovation.
