Scholarships, Fellowships and Loans

The Delta Gamma Foundation is the Greek leader in supporting its members through educational grants and loans. Through the Scholarships, Fellowships and Loans Committee, the Delta Gamma Foundation offers scholarships for undergraduate work; fellowships for graduate study; and loans for any form of higher education beyond the sophomore year. Women in Science Grants, awarded on an individual basis, encourage Delta Gammas to pursue careers in science.

In 2006, the Foundation awarded 275 scholarships and fellowships. Many qualified applicants could not be recipients because of lack of funds. In our loan fund, $238,000 is constantly recycled, and loans are given all through the year — with no application deadline. Loyalty Fund donations are essential to the scholarships, fellowships and loans program.

With a decrease in federal and state funding for education, Delta Gammas have turned to their Foundation for help to complete their education. Answering these needs is a major goal of the Board of Trustees and the Development Advisory Committee.

Sponsorship is the key to the program's success and comes from Delta Gamma alumnae groups, collegiate chapters, house corporations, regions and individuals. The awards may be in honor or memory of an individual or group and may be in the form of a full or partial sponsorship. Endowed scholarships and fellowships are given in perpetuity. If you are interested in sponsoring a Delta Gamma scholarship or fellowship, please contact Executive Offices or the Foundation Director of Scholarships, Fellowships and Loans.
