The Delta Gamma Nominating Committee formulates Council slates each Convention year and tracks names of members who are interested in serving in volunteer positions in the interim.

Nominations for Council were due on January 15, 2008.

The Election Process Timeline (for Council):
Prior to January 15, 2008, the Nominating Committee received nominations submitted by any initiated member of Delta Gamma.

January
The nominees who accepted their position completed an extensive biographical summary and vision statement.

February
Past and present Council, Cabinet, Foundation Board of Trustee officers, and Executive Offices staff completed a survey to provide feedback about potential candidates to the Nominating Committee.

April 4-6
The Nominating Committee gathered in Columbus, Ohio to determine the slate.

Prior to April 15
The slate will be e-mailed to all Convention delegates, the Foundation Board of Trustees, the Board of Advisers, and Executive Offices staff. It will also be posted online on this Web page (http://www.deltagamma.org/nominate.shtml).

By May 1, 5:00 EST
If a member wishes to nominate a member not on the slate, she may do so by submitting her name to the Mary Barlow, Fraternity Executive Director. Two nominations are required for a name to be considered.

May 2
This Web page (http://www.deltagamma.org/nominate.shtml) will be revised if additional names are brought forward.

Prior to June 1
Election information will be emailed to all Convention delegates.

Convention June 19-22
Delegates will vote to elect the 2008-2010 Council.
