| The
Delta Gamma New Member Pursuit is a program that prepares a new
member for Initiation. The program provides basic Fraternity education
and clarifies the privileges and responsibilities of lifelong membership.
There will be several ceremonies the new member will participate
in throughout the New Member Pursuit. These are some of the most
cherished rituals that will help the new member discover the heart
of Delta Gamma. |
|
There will
be weekly quizzes to help make sure members are learning the material
presented each week. Passing the quizzes is not a requirement for Initiation.
However, members should prepare carefully for each quiz because there
is a comprehensive test at the end of the program and new members must
earn a score of 90 percent or higher in order to be initiated. Mastering
the material throughout the eight-week program will make studying for
the comprehensive test much easier.
The program
focuses on the following areas:
Introductory
Meeting: New members learn about Delta Gamma Fraternity policies and
the Bylaws and Standing Rules of their collegiate chapter. New members
will also receive a copy of the chapter roster, calendar, information
and due dates concerning financial obligations and other important items
to add to this notebook.

The new
member's role is to participate, learn and enjoy educational undertakings.
She will evaluate programs and progress made and contribute her energies
toward the success of the New Member Pursuit. At each meeting there
will be activities, announcements and material to learn. New members
should read the material prior to each session and review it afterwards
for clarification in order to prepare for the quiz the following week.
For questions
about any of the material presented in the program, please contact the
collegiate chapter's director of new members, vp: member education,
