Establishing
a Delta Gamma Chapter
Expansion
is an adventure, a plan for the future! It is an opportunity and
challenge for the alumnae and the Fraternity. It is a partnership
between the college, the Fraternity, and the alumnae near the
campus who will assist the new members.
Expansion occurs two ways
- Establishing
a new chapter on a campus
- Accepting
a petition from an existing qualified group of women on a campus.
In
both instances, Delta Gamma must be invited by the Collegiate
Panhellenic system on the campus.

Building
a Delta Gamma Chapter
Delta Gamma is committed to ensuring that each colony and chapter is
a strong, vital, and contributing member of its campus community.
Delta Gamma
local and international volunteers as well as Executive Offices Staff
provide the support necessary to build a new chapter and sustain and
guide the existing ones.
Collegiate
Development Consultant/Colony Consultant
All Delta Gamma chapters are visited at least once a year by a Collegiate
Development Consultant (CDC). Colonies, however, get additional onsite
support from Colony Consultants, CDCs that have received additional
training specific to guiding our newest Delta Gammas. These well-trained
ambassadors of Delta Gamma assist the colonies and chapters with education,
programming, officer duties, and areas of particular concern to the
colony or chapter.
Council Appointed Coordinator
The Council Appointed Coordinator (CAC) is an experienced Fraternity
alumna who coordinates the colony development. She gives the colony
additional guidance for building a strong chapter. The Council Appointed
Coordinator also recruits and trains the Advisory Team and House Corporation.
Other alumnae who work with the colony:
Advisory Team Alumnae who serve as advisers to the officers and
members of the chapter.
House Corporation Alumnae who are responsible for the proper
maintenance of the chapter facility.
For more information about expansion and colony care, contact the Staff
Director of Expansion, Tracey
Williams.
