DGs Serving the United States

 

Members of Delta Gamma wish to convey heartfelt thanks to our sisters who are serving the United States. We are humbled by your patriotism and inspired by your actions. We support you! If you or a loved one is serving in the Armed Forces, please e-mail us pertinent information including full name, chapter of Delta Gamma Initiation, hometown and branch of the military (or other association) and any other details you'd like to include. Mandy Lynn Yowler, Alpha Rho-Ohio Wesleyan, joined the National Guard after graduating from high school in Ohio. She is a member of the 285th Aerial Medical Support Command unit of the National Guard in Iraq.
Pamela Lyons Carel Commander Pamela K. Lyons Carel, Beta Eta-Texas, is the current president of the Delta Gamma Alumnae group in Corpus Christi, Texas. She originally hails from Dallas and graduated from the University of Texas-Austin, in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. She was initiated into Delta Gamma at Beta Eta chapter in 1982. Commander Carel is currently the Executive Officer of NR MCMRON ONE also stationed in Ingleside, TX.

LCDR Susan Decker Allen, Epsilon Beta-Bucknell, US Navy, is currently the Reserve Programs Director at NAS Atlanta. Her job is to act as liaison between Reservists and the Active Duty Navy. She is also the officer in charge of the Mobilization effort at NAS Atlanta (the personnel in her department process the reservists when they are mobilized for Active Duty). She is also a pilot.

MAJ Leslie Bord MAJ Leslie Bord, Gamma Psi-Emory, has been on active duty in the Army since 1995. Leslie did her internship and Diagnostic Radiology residency at Tripler Army Medical Center. After graduation from residency, she served a few months in Kosovo. Since that time, she has been in Germany as a staff radiologist at Heidelberg Army Medical Center.

Natalie Bazalgette, Mu-Missouri, is a member of the National Guard. She is on active duty stationed in Kansas.

Shannon Elizabeth Geaney, Zeta Xi-Alabama, Birmingham, is part of the United States Marine Corps. Shortly after graduation in 1994, Shannon was commissioned as an officer in the Marine Corps. She served her country for four years and then returned to civilian life in California. After the events of September 11, 2001, she was called back into active duty with the Corps. She has been stationed in Germany and is now in Spain working with the coalition forces. Shannon is currently a Captain in the Corps and proud to serve her country once again.

LCDR Holly Devore Hatt, USN, Beta Pi-Willamette, was initiated in 1984. Her hometown is Medford, Oregon. Holly is part of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, United States Navy Health Services Battalion.

LTjg Sara Olsen, Zeta Delta-Rochester, is a Navy diver currently serving on USS Grapple, a rescue and salvage ship deployed to the Arabian Gulf.
Reporter Kyra Phillips Kyra Phillips, Alpha Nu-Southern California, is a news anchor and correspondent for CNN/U.S. Based in the network's world headquarters in Atlanta, Phillips anchors the weekday newscast Live From along with CNN's Miles O'Brien.

LCDR Lee Anne Vitatoe, Alpha Omicron-Miami, is in the Navy and currently stationed at MCAS Quantico, Virginia, at Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1). She is the Operational Test Director for aviation life support systems and human factors for Marine Corps rotary wing aviation.

Sarah Woolard, Mu-Missouri, is a member of the Air Force ROTC.
