The Charter Group is an open circle of Delta Gammas who are supporting and strengthening Delta Gamma Foundation programs by making planned gifts. Their foresight ensures that a strong Foundation will be able to "light tomorrow" through its good works.
Charter Group members are acutely aware of the importance of perpetuating the charitable works and educational programs of the Foundation. They are committed to promoting values, ethics, and scholarship; to developing leaders for the future; and to helping those less fortunate through Delta Gamma's philanthropy.

Charitable BequestsOur most popular planned gift: charitable bequests made through a donor's will. By having a basic will drafted, you can provide a special gift to the Foundation, achieve estate tax savings and provide for the needs of your heirs.
The federal tax laws provide a 100 percent charitable estate tax deduction when a donor makes an outright bequest to a charitable organization.

Charitable Gift AnnuitiesCharitable Gift Annuities provide donors with a lifetime income...a gift that pays you back! Donors contribute gifts directly to the Delta Gamma Foundation, and the Foundation pays the donor an agreed upon income for the rest of the donor's life, or the life of another, if they so desire. Fixed interest rates paid by the Foundation to the donor are in conformity with rules provided by the Internal Revenue Service, and are the recommended rates of the American Council on Gift Annuities.
There are a number of benefits to be obtained from annuities:
- An annuity provides reliable, stable income that is not subject to market fluctuations.
- The gift generates an income tax deduction that can be carried forward for five additional years.
- One can avoid estate taxes.
Charitable Remainder TrustsCharitable Remainder Trusts are favored by many donors because they provide a generous tax deduction and a substantial gift after the death of a donor, yet retain, and often increase, income for the lifetime of the donor or other beneficiaries.
Generally, a charitable remainder trust provides a specified annual distribution to one or more heirs or family members of the grantor, for a specified period of time. At the expiration of this period, the trust assets are distributed to the Delta Gamma Foundation.
Endow a Scholarship or Fellowship The Delta Gamma Foundation graciously accepts donations of any size, but funding a scholarship or fellowship comes with distinct benefits of its own. For example, as a sponsor, you are able to name your academic award. You may choose to honor or memorialize a special person or pay tribute to your chapter or alumnae group. You may also designate that the award be given within a specific collegiate chapter, region or state. For information, click
