Save Box Tops

©General Mills Box Tops for Education program is a simple Service for Sight project supported by many Delta Gamma alumnae groups and collegiate chapters.

Adopt your local school for the blind and help make a difference! Earn cash for your school every time you shop for groceries. Clip Box Tops coupons from hundreds of your favorite products found at your local grocery store. Each coupon is worth 10¢ when your school redeems them from General Mills.

  • Gives local and state schools for the blind a financial boost of up to $20,000 per year.
  • For each General Mills Box Top for Education logo received, your chosen school will receive 10 cents.
  • Is designated for schools with grades kindergarten and up. (Note: since the Delta Gamma Schools for the Blind are preschool level only, they are not eligible to participate in this program.)

A grand total of 33,305 box tops were collected and sent to mission-related schools in 2009-2010, as reported on Delta Gamma's e-Ops reporting system. The collegiate chapters and alumnae groups collecting the greatest number of box tops are listed here.

Collegiate Winners:

Eta Theta – Saint Louis University    Region 5
Eta Gamma Chapter – Texas A & M    Region 6

Alumnae Winners:

Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter    Region 4

For program specifics and to register your school (or see if it is already registered), please visit www.boxtops4education.com.

How does the program work? Contact your local or state school for the blind and inquire if they would like to participate in the General Mills Box Tops program. The school will need to be officially registered on the General Mills’ Web site, which is simple to do. For help locating a state or local blind school, please contact the Director: Director: Service at fnservice@deltagamma.org.

Many schools already participate in the program and may have a coordinator. If so, tell the coordinator your group would like to collect box top logos for the school. If they do not have a coordinator, ask a member of your collegiate chapter or alumnae group to be the coordinator. Your DG coordinator will send in the box tops logos your group collects to General Mills on the school’s behalf. General Mills will then send a check to the school at the rate of 10 cents per coupon.

Report the hours spent by members in your group collecting and/or organizing the box top logos on e-Ops as Foundation Service for Sight hours (individual) via the Foundation Fact Sheet. Report the number of General Mills Box Tops collected on the e-Ops Foundation Fact Sheet by May 15 to receive recognition for the fiscal year. The top three groups will be recognized at OTS or Convention.

Visit www.boxtops4education.com for a list of eligible products.
