With
only a few exceptions, a chapter is visited yearly by a Collegiate Development
Consultant. Prior to the visit, contact is made by the Collegiate Development
Consultant and Executive Offices so that necessary arrangements can be
coordinated.
The Collegiate Development Consultant spends from five to seven days with each chapter. Before her arrival, the entire chapter should be informed of her visit and the purpose of the Collegiate Development Consultant program. During the visit, she has conferences with each chapter officer, the advisory team chairman and the Panhellenic adviser. She instructs the chapter in the use of manuals and handbooks. She inspects ritual equipment and chapter files and supplies. She meets with the chapter management team, the honor board, and the chapter as a group. She discusses chapter organization with the officers and makes recommendations for change when necessary. Her work supplements that of the Regional Team. It is important for the officers to realize that the success of the program is dependent upon frank, open discussions with the Collegiate Development Consultant. Her training and experience in Fraternity work enables her to solve problems and deal with the concerns of the chapter membership. Would you like to apply for next year's CDC Team?
